Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Market)

SETTLEMENT DATE – JULY 2010

The complainant reported that a terminal at the Interac point of sale (TPV (pin pad) at the Pharmaprix branch in Place Versailles, more specifically the terminal at the cosmetics counter, was not accessible to people in wheelchairs / small people, because this one (these, actually) are riveted to the counter and are not removable. That is to say, if she wanted to pay this way, she could barely reach the device, saw nothing in the LCD window, but since she could not screen her body, everyone could see what she was composing as bank data.

She asked that all Interac POS terminals not only from this branch (there were 11), but from all branches in Quebec be modified so that they could be removable.

Payment according to requests. Agreement without mediation.
